DONATIONS WANTED / COLLECTION DRIVES

Sharpstown Middle School at 8330 Triola at Mary Bates (77036) is collecting used magazines and books for their classrooms. There is a “Book and Magazine” box in the front of the school each day during school hours. Just drive up, drop off, and enjoy the rest of your day knowing that your donation is educating the children who live in your community and helping them become better citizens. We will accept all types of magazines and levels of books. We will go through all donations and check for appropriateness.
Sharpstown Community Center will be collecting non-perishable food items for ABC 13’s “Share Your Holidays Food Drive”. Donations are collected from November 1-30. Please drop off items in the Houston Food Bank box at Sharpstown Community Center located at 6600 Harbor Town. NO GLASS, PLEASE!
Suggested donations: Bottled water, canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc.), canned stews, canned pastas, peanut butter, canned fruits in light syrup, 100% juice, canned vegetables, soups with meat and/or beans, meal-in-a-can, cereals, cereal bars, macaroni, noodles, dry beans, rice.
BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION:
Cut the “official coupon” only. Found on cereal, Ziploc, Betty Crocker, Cottonelle, Old El Paso, Kleenex, Scott, Hefty, Yoplait and other name brand products. Visit www.boxtops4education.com for a complete list of participating products. Please note: The boxtops have expiration dates!
